Welcome to Centre Square Montessori Schoolhouse
and Centre Square Academy

Centre Square Montessori Schoolhouse gladly accepts and enrolls children from 8 weeks of age through PreKindergarten. Centre Square Academy, which is also Montessori, educates children who are Kindergarten age through third grade. Both schools are on the same four-acre campus, which is located on historic Skippack Pike in Blue Bell, PA.

The school was founded in 1972 and is still owned and operated by Patricia A. McNicholas and Douglas Thomas. The Schoolhouse, Toddler cottage and Elementary building were designed to be a part of the total Montessori experience for children. The children have access to an environment that is rich in nature and science.

We invite you to explore what makes our school unique. We meet and exceed the standards of the PA Department of Education. A Montessori educational program has been proven to be a desirable, effective method of teaching for more than one hundred years. Please contact us for more information about our school philosophy, our academic programs, our summer program and admissions.

“Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is
acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment.”
– Dr. Maria Montessori
